Short Tours & Weekend Getaways

Not every journey needs two weeks. Our short tours are quick, well-planned escapes of a weekend to under a week — perfect for a first taste of India, a break between work commitments, or an add-on to a longer trip. They span the classics and the quick getaways: the six-day Golden Triangle, a Corbett jungle weekend, a Tirupati pilgrimage break, the Shimla-Manali hills and a Rishikesh-Shivpuri escape on the Ganges, each private and tailor-made.

Short tours are about making the most of limited time without feeling rushed. The obvious flagship is the Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in around six days, taking in the Taj Mahal, Mughal Delhi and Jaipur's forts and palaces, and by far the most popular short introduction to the country. But India rewards even briefer breaks. A weekend at Jim Corbett, the country's oldest national park in the Himalayan foothills, delivers open-jeep safaris and forest air just a drive from Delhi. A Tirupati break centres on one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in the world. And the hills of Himachal — Shimla, Manali and the Parvati Valley around Kasol — make a refreshing few days when the plains are hot.

These trips suit a wide range of travellers: visitors with only a few days in the country, business travellers extending a work trip, families wanting a quick change of scene, and anyone building a modular journey out of shorter blocks. A Rishikesh-Shivpuri getaway offers yoga, temples and white-water rafting where the Ganges leaves the mountains — a one- or two-night reset that packs a lot into a small window. Because each of these can also slot onto the end of a bigger itinerary, short tours double as ready-made extensions: a couple of extra days of tigers, hills or the Ganges to round out a longer trip.

The best timing depends on where you go. The plains destinations — the Golden Triangle, Corbett and Rishikesh — are at their best from October to March, when North India is cool and clear; the hill escapes of Shimla and Manali shine from spring to early autumn and again under winter snow; and Tirupati, in the warmer south, works year-round. Whatever the length, we plan short tours with the same care as our grand journeys: a private car and driver, licensed local guides, well-chosen hotels and pacing that respects how little time you have. Tell us your dates, your starting city and what you most want to see, and we will design a compact trip that still feels complete.

FAQ

Short Tours & Weekend Getaways — frequently asked questions

The six-day Golden Triangle is the best short tour in India for a first visit, linking Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and the Taj Mahal in one comfortable loop. For a nature or spiritual break, Corbett, Rishikesh and Tirupati are excellent shorter options.

Yes, easily. A week is enough for the Golden Triangle, and even a weekend covers a Corbett safari, a Tirupati pilgrimage or a Rishikesh getaway. We pace short tours carefully so they feel complete rather than rushed.

Good weekend getaways from Delhi include a Corbett jungle safari, a Rishikesh-Shivpuri break on the Ganges, and the Shimla-Manali hills. Each is within easy reach and can be arranged as a private, tailor-made trip.

Yes. Short tours make ideal extensions — a couple of extra days of tigers at Corbett, the hills of Himachal, or the Ganges at Rishikesh to round out a longer journey. Tell us your main itinerary and we slot the add-on in.

All our short tours are private and tailor-made. Even for a two-day trip you have your own car, driver and guides, and the pace and hotels are arranged around you rather than a fixed group schedule.
