Tour overview
Corbett sits along the Ramganga river where the plains of Uttarakhand rise into the Himalayan foothills, a few hours' drive from Delhi. Established in 1936, it was the first national park in India and later became the launch site of Project Tiger; today it is one of the country's most famous tiger reserves, home also to elephants, deer, a rich variety of birds and the fast-flowing Ramganga itself. Its blend of sal forest, grassland and river makes it as scenic as it is wild.
This tour is designed as a short, restful weekend rather than an intensive safari expedition. You are based at a deluxe jungle resort just outside the park, where much of the pleasure lies in the setting: air-conditioned cottages, a pool, a bonfire under the stars and easy access to nature walks along the forest edge. A wildlife safari can be arranged into the park zones subject to permits and availability, which our team books for you in advance.
As with every Era journey it is fully private and tailor-made. The two nights can be extended for more safaris, combined with Nainital or Rishikesh for a longer Uttarakhand trip, or upgraded in hotel category — just tell us your dates and interests and we will shape it around them. 3 daysYou arrive at Corbett, most easily reached by road from Delhi, and are welcomed at your jungle resort with a welcome drink on arrival before checking into your deluxe air-conditioned cottage. Settle in over lunch and spend a relaxed afternoon enjoying the resort's swimming pool and its indoor and outdoor games. As evening falls, gather round a bonfire with music before dinner. Overnight at the resort.

After morning tea and breakfast, the day is given to the wildlife of Corbett. A guided nature walk explores the forest edge, and an optional jeep safari can be arranged into one of the park zones — subject to permits and availability — in search of tigers, elephants, spotted deer and the park's abundant birdlife along the Ramganga. Back at the resort you relax over lunch and the afternoon's facilities, with evening tea, another bonfire and dinner to round off the day. Overnight at the resort.

Corbett Weekend Tour — your questions answered
It is a 2-night, 3-day break based at a jungle resort in Corbett. That gives you an arrival day to settle in, a full day for a nature walk and an optional safari, and a relaxed departure on the third day — ideal for a weekend away from the city.
A jeep safari into the park can be arranged on request but is not part of the base package. Corbett safaris depend on park permits, zone availability and season, so we book them for you in advance; the tour itself centres on a jungle-resort stay with a guided nature walk, meals and bonfire evenings.
November to June is the best time, with winter and spring especially pleasant. The core safari zones generally open from around mid-November, and the monsoon from July to September brings heavy rain and partial park closures, so the drier months are best for wildlife.
Corbett is most easily reached by road from Delhi, a drive of a few hours into the Uttarakhand foothills. You can also travel by train to Ramnagar, the nearest railway town; we are happy to arrange a private car transfer from Delhi or a station pickup as part of your booking.
